QuickTime Upgrade Disables Flash Playback under iScreensaver
Problem:
After upgrading to a new version of QuickTime, any iScreensaver that uses Flash content stops working. This can happen on both Macintosh and Windows computers. It happens with iScreensaver 3.5 (or earlier) and QuickTime 7.1.3 and later. Solutions: Flash Warning MessageSee this Support page for further tips and details, including a download patch to bypass the warning message for non-Flash screensavers. Upgrade to iScreensaver 4.0 iScreensaver 4.0 will solve this problem. We are working hard on this extensive upgrade. Please join our mailing list for announcement details. Export Flash to QuickTime Some Flash movies, particularly those with little scripting or interactivity, can be converted to a video format. See Exporting Flash to QuickTime. Downgrade to an older version of QuickTime It is possible to downgrade to an older version of QuickTime. We do not recommend it for a number of reasons, but it can be done.
