iScreensaver Designer 5.0 is released. Make screensavers for Windows 10 and OS X 10.11 El Capitan

LOS ANGELES, 14 January 2016 - Multimedia software author Xochi Media Inc announces the release of iScreensaver Designer version 5.0.

First released in 1998, iScreensaver Designer is a cross-platform screensaver editor for Macintosh and Windows. iScreensaver Designer will convert images, movies, and Adobe Flash (SWF) files into a standard screensaver with user-friendly installers for both Mac and Windows platforms. iScreensaver offers features not available in any other screensaver engine.

Version 5.0 is a major new release that provides support for the latest hardware and software updates: Windows 10, Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. All iScreensaver users are encouraged to upgrade to version 5.

• Video without Plugins: Screensavers can be created that play back modern HTML5/MP4 video files without any plugins. No more requiring end-users to have the QuickTime or Adobe Flash plugins installed.
• Multi-Monitor Support: screensavers can now play on all monitors on Windows PCs, and there is a user-interface for selecting which monitors will be used.
• Gatekeeper and Authenticode Support: Screensaver authors can now digitally sign their screensaver installers, so end users no longer have the "unidentified developer" warnings. (Note: requires third party tools and purchases not supported by iScreensaver.com.)
• Advanced Video / Flash playback engine: you can now include dissolves and cross-fade effects between videos and videos, videos and flash, and flash-to-flash transitions. No more abrupt "jump cuts."
• Retina Support: Fully supports Mac OS X high-resolution ("high DPI") monitors.
