I created my screensaver on a Mac and transported to the PC. It works on my home PC, but the networked PCs where the screensaver was intended to work doesn't. I have downloaded the Quicktime needed. Any ideas?

Can you give us more details? We'd need to know what type of computer, what version of the OS you are using, and what steps you've tried and what the result(s) are...

For example, if you are running on a networked system where you don't have permission to install software, obviously the screensaver won't work.

I am having the same problem too but I have created the screensaver on both Mac & PC. I use an MPEG movie embedded in the saver.

When the screensaver is installed on a Windows PC it works fine. When installed on a Windows network (Win2K boxes mostly) there is a problem. It will install and preview fine. When left to kick in by itself it just stops at either a black screen or it will show the first frame of the movie without doing anything else.

Any idea's what could be causing this?

There is a bug in QuickTime 5.0 which causes this on some Windows NT boxes (including NT, NT2000 and XP).

The bug usually only appears when you have the following 3 factors:
Windows NT variant
Password protection ON
Old version of QuickTime (5.0)

Try upgrading to QuickTime 6.0 and let us know if this solves the problem.

As an optional fix, try turning OFF password protection in the screensaver control panel.
