I am a pro photographer, and have recently produced a screen saver CDROM using another brand of software (just discovered iScreensaver) - for Windows only. I am happy to have found this software...I understand that if I were to build my own iScreensaver - with my photos - I am limited to 8MB in modules. Is this just for the initial installation? Can I distribute more modules (thereby eventually exceeding the 8 MB) to my customers over time? I ask because I distribute on CDROM - as well as the web - and my current saver modules (other software) are about 15MB individually. I am using high-quality, full screen JPEG files - and about 40 per saver module. If there is no way to get around the 8MB limit, are there plans to increase this with future releases? Is there a relationship with RAM that necessitates the 8MB limit on the module collection? Any info is much appreciated. Jesse http://www.explore-rocky.com IP: Logged |

Follow-up to my question...Can I build multiple saver installers to get around the 8MB module limit? Then, have users select a certain saver application from a list of installed savers using extensions manager (mac)? IP: Logged |

The 8MB limit is for a single installation file only. There is no limit on the size of installed modules. I.e., you could install 20 6MB installers for a total of 120MB on the computer with absolutely no problem.IP: Logged | |
